On September 28th the annual Cersaie international exhibition of ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings took place in Bologna, Italy. Styleture was among the over 83,000 visitors in attendance. We were a bit surprised to see the exhibitor and visitor numbers for this year’s event so high given the continuing struggles of the global economy. The event this year was full of European energy and exhibits that aimed to create a distinct ambiance and experience when you visited each exhibit.

A unique difference found at many European design shows versus American ones is the focus on a space to network and build relationships within each exhibit. While going from booth to booth we could routinely see attendees sitting at cafes and networking among industry professionals.

If we had to give an overall feel from the products this year we’d describe it as a focus on smooth lines with an emphasis on the idea of “less is more.”

See below for some photos of booths and products that caught our eye this year.
