Stylish Space Saving Furniture on Third Avenue
January 12th, 2010We found a very nice furniture store last week that has found quite the niche in furniture by coupling high end pieces of furniture with space saving designs that are perfect for Interior Designers, Architects and Specifiers. Founded in 2000 by Steve Spett and Ron Barth, Resource Furniture carries hard to find European Furniture that is not widely distributed in the U.S.We were amazed by many of the designs for their clever space saving features, in addition to the style and fashion of the furniture. This is an amazing design that really took us by surprise. I can just picture this as a conversation piece with a friend:
“Hey, where’s your dining room table?”
Me: “Right there.”
Friend: “What, that coffee table?”
Me: “No, that’s a dining room table.”

Another amazing design was this sofa bunk bed called the DOC. We’ve all seen pullouts, but how about a pullout bunk bed! This also comes in an longer version called the DOC XL. It looks fairly comfortable to us because unlike other pullouts, the sofa doesn’t need to be paper thin in order to fold up into the couch, these mattresses remain unfolded. Perfect for little kid sleepovers!

The Nuovoliola is a very cool design that is very smart as it turns a shelf on the wall into the legs of the bed without needing to move the objects from the shelf.

These beds are simply amazing! The Sofa Bunk Bed and the Sofa to Bed with the moving shelf could imagine both in my home! Great ideas to make the space look bigger when the beds are not needed!
How cool are those! Space saving beds to the max and very modern. I’m always amazed that these companies can pull off designs like these and still able to make the bed functional.
WowWow I love all but most the couch bunk/DOC
