The first "modern" piece I fell in love in with was the Barcelona Chair. As I dug deeper, every design was as beautiful, and it wasn't until later in my life I appreciated the architecture as well. I bought my first Barcelona Chair in the 60s, and unfortunately lost it during a move to LA. But I just got a new one, albeit reproduction <a href="http://www.pgmod.com/pavillion-chair-p-92.html" rel="nofollow">Barcelona Chair</a>. Great reproduction and highly recommended Mies could do no wrong. The first “modern” piece I fell in love in with was the Barcelona Chair. If you come for the visit through the Chicago Architecture Foundation's Plus bu Bus tour, lunch is indeed included, however the standard day tour does not include a meal. There are many great places to eat and picnic in the area and we are happy to point you in the right direction, however.
